| Delivery to the
US will be by air or sea, depending whether cost or time are the most
important factors. Airfreight will take about a week, sea two to three.
There will also be costs for getting the furniture from the port of
entry to your door, and taxes. Costs obviously depend on size and weight, as well as where you are located and type of freight. As a rough guide it would be useful to double the cost shown for any particular item, eg: a $700 desk could well cost another $700 to transport. I normally like to deliver and install furniture myself, this would obviously be expensive and impractical. Therefore, items exported to the US are flat-packed for ease of transport, and can be assembled easily with just a few basic tools. If you are uncomfortable with this, then it would be wise to engage a local joiner or handyman to assemble the furniture for you. For a handy currency converter, click here |
